Rise and shine.
6am and your hand can’t make it to the alarm clock before the voices in your head start telling you that it’s too early, too dark, and too cold to get out of a bed.
Aching muscles lie still in rebellion, pretending not to hear your brain commanding them to move
A legion of voices are shouting their unanimous permission for you to hit the snooze button and go back to dreamland, but you didn’t ask their opinion.
The voice you’ve chosen to listen to is one of defiance.
A voice that’s says there was a reason you set that alarm in the first place. So sit up, put your feet on the floor, and don’t look back because we’ve got work to do.
Welcome to The Grind!
For what is each day but a series of conflicts between the right way and the easy way,
10,000 streams fan out like a river delta before you, Each one promising the path of least resistance.
Thing is, you’re headed upstream
And when you make that choice, when you decide to turn your back on what’s comfortable and what’s safe and what some would call “common sense”, well that’s day 1.
From there it only gets tougher.
So just make sure this is something you want.
Because the easy way out will always be there, ready to wash you away, all you have to do is pick up your feet.
But you aren’t going to are you?
With each step comes the decision to take another
You’re on your way now
But this is no time to dwell on how far you’ve come.
You’re in a fight against an opponent you can’t see
Oh but you can feel him on your heels can’t you?
Feel him breathing down your neck
You know what that is?
That’s you…
Your fears, your doubts and insecurities all lined up like a firing squad ready to shoot you out of the sky
But don’t lose heart
While they aren’t easily defeated, they are far from invincible
Remember this is The Grind
The Battle Royale between you and your mind, your body and the devil on your shoulder who’s telling you that this is just a game, this is just a waste of time, your opponents are stronger than you.
Drown out the voice of uncertainty with the sound of your own heartbeat
Burn away your self doubt with the fire that’s beneath you
Remember what you’re fighting for
And never forget that momentum is a cruel mistress
She can turn on a dime with the smallest mistake.
She is ever searching for that weak place in your armor
That one tiny thing you forgot to prepare for
So as long as the devil is hiding the details, the question remains,”is that all you got?”, “are you sure?”
And when the answer is “yes”. That you’ve done all you can to prepare yourself for battle THEN it’s time to go forth and boldly face your enemy, the enemy within
Only now you must take that fight into the open, into hostile territory
You’re a lion in a field of lions
All hunting the same elusive prey with a desperate starvation that says VICTORY is the only thing that can keep you alive
So believe that voice that says “you CAN run a little faster” and that “you CAN throw a little harder” and that “you CAN dive a little deeper” and that, for you, the laws of physics are merely a suggestion.
So rise and shine.

Okay, so I know these photos are a bit, errmmm intimate, so to say but I felt the need to take & post them to make a very important point —-

The other day I went to the mall in Frankfurt and was shopping around, I walked into some random German woman’s clothing store much like a Victoria’s Secret. As I was looking around I noticed two young teenage girls (probably about 16 or 17 they seemed) pointing and laughing about something. At first I was just surprised to see other young american girls (I don’t see it very often, most times they speak in German back & fourth if they can) speaking in English… But then I over heard what they were laughing about- and sadly they were making fun of another woman. I listened in for a few minutes and found they were saying things like “She’s just so fat, why would SHE need to shop here?” and “Why would she do something like that to herself? Doesn’t she care what she looks like?” and finally just rude remarks like “Oh my god, Ew no.”
Finally, I had enough of listening to them and tried my best to just politely ignore it. I had a really hard time doing so and eventually searched for the woman they were speaking of. When I found her I was appalled at the young girls. The other woman, she wasn’t hard to find seeing as she was only on the opposite side of the display— happened to be of young/middle age (probably about 30 or 40 something.) She was pretty over weight, simply wearing a t-shirt and lounge pants, had her hair thrown up into a pony tail, but over all just looked somewhat exasperated with her efforts. I felt for her. She seemed to pick out intimate outfit after outfit and put them all down. You could tell that she wasn’t having a good time. I can only imagine what she felt like searching for something that she looked determined to have.

I was totally outraged with the two young girls. It made me SO angry that they would talk about someone like that. Even if they girl was completely fit and had full make up and everything… It just blows my mind that some people can be that shallow and think making fun of others that way is okay to do. ITS NOT. EVER. Making fun of people, whether they are a size 2 or size 20 or have brown, black, red, purple or green fucking hair, YOU HAVE NO RIGHT.

Those two girls have no idea what that woman was picking outfits out for or why she looked the way she did. Maybe the woman was very confident in herself? What if she loved herself, every bit of it? Maybe she was finally taking charge of her life and fitness and had new found confidence? Maybe she was picking out those sexy outfits for her loving husband back at home? Maybe she had just gotten a new boyfriend and wanted to impress him? For whatever reason, that woman was beautiful. To be able to put on an outfit that shows your body and be okay with yourself shows just how STRONG of a woman you can be. It shows a level of self confidence. And on the other hand… making fun of a random woman in a public mall just for entertainment also shows a lot about you. I honestly hope none of y’all, as my followers, have EVER been the girls making fun of others. Its not funny, its not cute. Its just cruel.

I’m posting these photos to show that ANY woman, no matter what size, hair color, weight, height, ANYTHING. you can be one sexy little thing <3 Just have confidence in yourself, and rock whatever outfit (or lack there of (; ) that you want and you will ALWAYS look beautiful and sexy. Confidence is sexy. And making fun of others is just wrong.

.:An amazing thing happens when you get honest with yourself and start doing what you love, what makes you happy. Your life literally slows down. You stop wishing for the weekend. You stop merely looking forward to special events. You begin to live in each moment and you start feeling like a human being. You just ride the wave that is life, with this feeling of contentment and joy. You move fluidly, steadily, calm and grateful. A veil is lifted, and a whole new perspective is born:.
